Ingredients

  • Riboflavin
Riboflavin gives urine its yellow color to mask dilution (Gatautis & Naito, 1981).
  • Creatine Monohydrate 1000 mg
Creatine monohydrate is used because the test will check your creatinine levels and if too low, willknow the sample is dilute (Ropero-Miller, Paget-Wilkes, Doering, & Goldberger, 2000).
  • Burdock
Burdock in combination with dandelion has been used for centuries to increase urine output and detoxify the liver. Burdock improves lipid profile, flushing THC out of the fat cells (Ha, Kim, Kim, & Kim, 2018).
  • Dandelion
Dandelion is used as a liver detoxifier and to increase urine output. Combined with Burdock, it was a traditional drink of the British Isles (Clare, Conroy, & Spelman, 2009).
  • Chamomile flower
Chamomile has anti-inflammatory effects and anti-anxiety effects. This can slow down metabolism and reduce THC spillage after the initial urinations, making you pee out the THC, then stopping the fat cells from releasing it (Kato, et al., 2008)
  • Soy Protein
Soy Protein decreases cholesterol, thereby stabilizing the transport of lipids out of the fat cells, spilling THC into the bloodstream (Potter, 1996).
  • Alfalfa (leaf) 200 mg
Alfalfa may have a stabilizing effect on cholesterol and lipids in the bloodstream, thereby reducing the presence of THC as well (Asgary, Moshtaghian, Hosseini, & Siadat, 2008).
  • Slippery Elm (bark) 200 mg
Slippery Elm increases salivation, in case you have to do a saliva test, the saliva will be diluted and have lower THC levels. It also forms a protective barrier over the mucous membranes, reducing the absorption of further toxins in the digestive tract (Slippery Elm, n.d.).
  • Red clover
Red clover also stabilizes lipids, preventing spillage of THC into the blood and urine (Qiu, et al., 2012).

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Herbs are unique, not found in many detox products.
  • Creatine Monohydrate to make sure creatinine levels are correct in the urine sample
  • Has only one B-vitamin to add color to the diluted sample, doesn’t overdo it
  • It’s in capsules so that avoids the taste which some people who took a liquid form says is horrific.
  • Widely available at Walmart online, Amazon, E-bay. May be found in some Walmart stores.
  • Works fast if used as directed
Cons
  • Herbs like alfalfa can cause dangerous symptoms in overdose.
  • At 29.95 USD, pretty expensive for a few pills and an empty bottle.
  • Dilution can be done without an expensive handful of pills to pass a drug test.
  • Dilution can sometimes be detected.   Timing must be perfect. You may need to practice with a few bottles and a home test first
  • It says ‘purified’, but you have the buy the purified water yourself separately. It’s not like they purified it, you purified it.

Q&A about Puriclean X2 Double Strength

Does it work?
Our guess, it may work by dilution; however, the herbs included can cause a reaction, so don’t take more than directed.
Is it the same as other detox products?
Puriclean X2 Double Strength uses dilution like other products but combines it with diluting of the saliva with Slippery Elm and releasing THC from fat cells with other herbs like Burdock, Dandelion, and Red Clover. It may, therefore, have more mechanisms of action than other products, but this also makes it more possible to have side effects and bad reactions. Also, it comes in two different types of pills whereas most products are liquids.
How does it work?
This product uses 4 approaches:

  1. Herbs that release lipids and THC from fat cells (Burdock, Dandelion, Red Clover).
  2. Diuretics that produce more and dilute urine.
  3. Riboflavin which gives the diluted urine and strong yellow color.
  4. Creatine which produces a higher concentration of creatinine to mask the dilution, as testers check creatinine levels.
  5. One herb, Slippery Elm, increases salivation which may dilute THC and other drugs in the saliva, thus thwarting the testers.
Does it work for weed, for opiates, and for cocaine?
Puriclean X2 Double Strength uses dilution like many other products, so if done right, it can work. However, the inclusion of so many herbs can increase the chances of an allergic or bad reaction. Don’t double up on this product.
For how many days do drugs stay in your body?
Drugs all have different times to elimination. Single-use stays in the system for a shorter period. See our page here to see how long marijuana will stay in your system: https://leaf.expert/english/what-is-medicinal-cannabis/marijuana-stay-bloodstream

Frequency of use How long for clean test for the average person
Single or infrequent 72 hours
Chronic use 7 to 10 days
Heavy Use 10 to 21 days
All use  Less than 30 days
What is the cost?
$29.99 USD

Comment:  This tester claims it worked and that you should pee until your pee turns yellow, that means the riboflavin and other ingredients have made it to the bladder, the theater of action. This is a good rule of thumb for any detox product which contains b-vitamins and riboflavin because it means the ingredients have made it through the system. The creatine should be there as well, and it means your timing is perfect.

Comment:  This user used the product daily and got nausea and headaches. She actually used it to detox from toxins we suppose, but we include it here to demonstrate, daily use appears to cause a bad reaction of nausea and headaches, so, don’t use daily, and don’t use two bottles. These herbs can be powerful.

Conclusion

2 out of 5

We give this one a C rating. It may work by dilution, does contain creatine and riboflavin like other concoctions, but the choice of herbs is problematic. Herbs can sometimes cause anaphylaxis, stomach upset, even liver damage. Too much alfalfa can cause a condition similar to lupus. Also, these herbs can have drug interactions we don’t know about. So, if you use this product, use only one container, don’t double up on it. Interactions between these herbs and other drugs can cause less of the drug to be absorbed, including birth control, psychiatric medication such as lithium, and even antibiotics. That could really cause harm if you were depending on those medications to work effectively. So, be careful. Choose your herbs carefully and use low doses for detox. This product went too heavy on the rare herbs. If you use herbs, be sure to make sure they have few if any side effects and drug interactions.
