Our guess, it may work by dilution; however, the herbs included can cause a reaction, so don’t take more than directed.
Puriclean X2 Double Strength uses dilution like other products but combines it with diluting of the saliva with Slippery Elm and releasing THC from fat cells with other herbs like Burdock, Dandelion, and Red Clover. It may, therefore, have more mechanisms of action than other products, but this also makes it more possible to have side effects and bad reactions. Also, it comes in two different types of pills whereas most products are liquids.
This product uses 4 approaches:
- Herbs that release lipids and THC from fat cells (Burdock, Dandelion, Red Clover).
- Diuretics that produce more and dilute urine.
- Riboflavin which gives the diluted urine and strong yellow color.
- Creatine which produces a higher concentration of creatinine to mask the dilution, as testers check creatinine levels.
- One herb, Slippery Elm, increases salivation which may dilute THC and other drugs in the saliva, thus thwarting the testers.

This is a good rule of thumb for any detox product which contains b-vitamins and riboflavin because it means the ingredients have made it through the system. The creatine should be there as well, and it means your timing is perfect.

We give this one a C rating. It may work by dilution, does contain creatine and riboflavin like other concoctions, but the choice of herbs is problematic. Herbs can sometimes cause anaphylaxis, stomach upset, even liver damage. Too much alfalfa can cause a condition similar to lupus. Also, these herbs can have drug interactions we don’t know about. So, if you use this product, use only one container, don’t double up on it. Interactions between these herbs and other drugs can cause less of the drug to be absorbed, including birth control, psychiatric medication such as lithium, and even antibiotics. That could really cause harm if you were depending on those medications to work effectively. So, be careful. Choose your herbs carefully and use low doses for detox. This product went too heavy on the rare herbs. If you use herbs, be sure to make sure they have few if any side effects and drug interactions.
