Today we’re gonna learn about the sea of green. This is a method you can use to get your weed faster and possibly a higher yield if you have the space for it. Plants will vegetate for about two weeks using this method. Sea of green is abbreviated SOG, and you will see dollar signs, the real greenie green if you do this right.
You’re gonna grow shorter plants for a shorter time but still maintain your yield. You can also maximize the amount of space you have.
You have to feed these plants lots of light from above and below. You can use High Pressure Sodium lamps or High Discharge Lamps. Use reflective lining on your tent to turn those light beams around and put them back on your leaves. You will have to pay the light bill so you wanna get as much light as you can for the cheapest price. Photosynthesis is going to do most of the work of course. Just make sure your plants eat up all that light and drink the water and nutrients you supply to them.
If you can get clones, use clones. However, a weed is going to grow, you can’t stop a weed from growing that’s why they call it weed. With clones which are a cutting from a female plant, you don’t have to worry about identifying and removing males. A clone is just a cutting from a female plant, yes you can just a piece of the plant, it will grow roots and grow into a genetically identical plant. Isn’t nature amazing?
You can put the cutting of about 6 inches of stem into soil or rockwool or other fancy medium. Growers often use something other than soil in order to be fancy but obviously nature does this automatically and doesn’t go searching online for rockwool as this is unnecessary but if you know how to, do so. Growers use nutrients, water, and sometimes hormones to make the plant sprout roots from a cutting. To each his own, either way you will be smoking a weed you can be proud of.
Now if you have seeds instead, germinate. You do this by sandwiching yours seeds on wet paper towels, covered with a plate until they take up the water and sprout roots and or leaf. You can put them in the ground soon as they sprout roots. Put them only two seeds deep. If you have cuttings put them in your rock wool or soil. You can give them 18 to 24 hours of light.
Space them one plant per square meter if planting outside. They need enough room that they aren’t stealing nutrients from each other but can still communicate. Yes, plants talk to each other through the root slash mycelium system. Yes, they use fungus underground which are friendly to them to discuss things such as nutrient availability or leaf eating predators like insects and humans on the prowl. They also use chemical messengers in the air to communicate.
