Origins, Genetics, History

Chernobyl is a strain that provides a wide-ranging cerebral brain high that lingers over a long period of time. It is the offspring of Trinity, Trainwreck, and Jack the Ripper strains. It is predominantly Sativa in its effects, which are light and easy-to-handle. This strain was created by TGA Genetics.

The Chernobyl strain provides a light, happy high that gives you energy rather than slowing you down. Users like to use this strain during daylight hours, as it may help them to get their work done. This strain goes straight to the head with a subtle stimulation that will have you buzzing for hours.

Appearance and Fragrance

Chernobyl has dense green buds, framing hairy white trichomes and orange pistils. Looking at this bud will remind you of the psychedelic high you’ve had before and which is soon to come. The experience begins visually and continues with the fragrance. The smell is swamping, pungent, and funky. There is a nice strong punch of limey citrus when you taste it, and the aftertaste is a strong, deep dank weed taste. You will love the flavor and taste of the Chernobyl strain. It has been described as earthy, a smell of raw nature with a strong punch of bitter lemon. This is accompanied by a tropical taste of sweet cherries.

Chernobyl Marijuana Strain

This is not the first time I buy and use this strain, but the last sample was clearly the best one, so I even decided to write a review on it. It hit me unexpectedly but still gently with an amazing feeling of extreme creativity, energy and motivation. No wonder it all made me more uplifted than ever. But this is not a pure Sativa, I can feel it. Not only my mind was treated with love, but my body could enjoy slight numbing that made me forget about my back pain or any other pain. Even my nausea was not a problem anymore: munchies took care of that. Hold on, I forgot the overall description. The buds are light green, covered in trichomes and mixed with some orange hairs. They are sticky with resin. When vaped, it produces a thick vapor but it won't let you cough. Its fragrance is tasty and odd, with a slight lime undertone. Back to the effects now. Unlike other sativas, this one doesn't make me more or less focused, it seems like Indica side is more noticeable in it. After about 60 minutes the effects faded away, having left me with dry mouth and eyes. By and large, it's really good for dealing with nausea, stress, poor appetite, anxiety and pain without locking yourself to the couch. The experience is completely new and worth trying.

There are many reasons to fall in love with this strain but for me it was long lasting effects of the head and body high what made me addicted to Chernobyl. Now I would never mistake these large, bright-green, frosty buds which fragrance sets my mouth watering when I whiff it and sometimes when I only think of it. This hybrid has a strong, pungent and pleasant citrusy scent of lime beautifully mixed with a slight hint of cherry. Its green, provocative odor is rather distinct. Such an assault on your sences is just a preview of what is waiting for you no matter whether you decide to vape or smoke this amazing Sativa dominant hybrid with a weird name. The first thing you will notice after using it is a qualitative, swift and almost immediate pain relief. Of course it affected me mentally, causing a boost in creativity, but body effects were not what I expected. Say good bye to your chronic pain, but not be afraid of getting too sleepy - it doesn't knock you out or even make you slightly tired! The best part of it - there are no negative effects. Only good and useful things are being provided. People suffering from severe pain and tired of everyday monotony should take a closer look at this strain. Stress, depression & anxiety, I command you to be gone! The power of Chernobyl will help me!

God, how scared I was to find out I bought a sativa-dominant strain instead of indica-dominant as I was told in the dispensary. I came home, decided to read some more reviews and choose the best way to take it and there I got nervous. You see, all sativas I tried before made me frighteningly anxious and paranoid. Well I smoked it anyway, why not? And Bingo! Ten minutes passed, nothing bad happened so far although I expected it to tip me off but I'm a dingus! The appearance: exclusively beautiful flower, that reminds me cute little fluffy clouds covered with trichomes. The smell: at first must be said it's a clean and tasty smoke. Earthy and pungent. I don't know why but I really like that almost all you can taste is dirty flavor, I guess dirt is my thing. Or maybe it works for me because it also has a citrusy flavor. The effects: a weird combination of relaxation and energy hits you, which makes you rather proactive. Honestly, I'm quite tired of fighting the sleepiness all day long that Indica gives you, so this feels like a breath of fresh air. I am perfectly focused and ready to get my work done, cause Chernobyl is not overwhelming, unlike other sativas. The name is kinda weird, but it's just a little reminder of a catastrophic nuclear event, nothing special. By and large, it's an ace daytime strain.

Chernobyl strain is a delight! A good mixture of sweet and citrus smell and taste. I love the clarity and stability. I'm normally a very anxious, occasionally depressed person. The best way to describe the feeling after smoking it is "wow, I feel relieved". All my stress and worry is gone but I can function. If you haven't tried it, you definitely should.

This strain put me in a damn good mood. Bud looks and smells wonderful. Cures my anxiety and is one of the few strains I can be productive on without even thinking about it. Euphoric, relaxed, and creative for a great time alone or chilling with friends. Great for depression. Really great strain!

Chernobyl cannabis has been great for helping me manage my condition. I’ve been diagnosed with chronic stress many years ago and tried a variety of weed but this one had the most powerful effect on me. Just a couple of puffs and I forget about all the worries in my life. So great mood-lifting effect! Plus I love the strong citrus scent and how the weed tastes on my tongue because it feels like I put a sweet lemon there. Amazing.

Just got this weed several days ago, good stuff. Smoked it with my friends yesterday and here’s what I have to say. Well, the weed smelled extremely piney and earthy, with strong hints of citrus. The first hit that I took was a bit harsh on my throat on the inhale which I didn’t like but the aftertaste was strong and awesome, so no problem with that. The high was amazing, too. My body warmed up in like three minutes and I felt extremely relaxed. Bravo Chernobyl

I shared Chernobyl strain with a friend of mine in April and I was quite impressed. We smoked a bowl and then went out for a couple of beers. We were very relaxed but surprisingly alert and focused. The great conversation made me very appreciative of my choice of the weed that day.

The only thing that I love more than a sativa is a sativa that’s high in THC. That’s why I’ve been smoking Chernobyl for quite a while now, and I highly recommend this strain to those suffering from stress and lack of appetite (at least that’s how it helps me).

I’m 38, and I smoke weed a lot, up to four times a day. I found Chernobyl cannabis to be great and impacting me a lot because of my high tolerance. For example, in addition to great relaxing effects, it helps me with chronic pain much better than my meds. Recommended.

I know that Chernobyl weed has Trainwreck in its genetics, and I felt when I was smoking it the other day. I mean it hit me hard and glued to the couch but I didn’t mind because I felt so happy and relaxed. And the earthy smell was amazing, too – love the citrus hints!
