Origins, Genetics, History
Agent Orange Type: Agent Orange is a hybrid of the following strains:
- Orange Velvet
- Jack the Ripper
Agent Orange is a hybrid of the citrusy Orange Velvet and the intense Jack the Ripper strains. The Agent Orange strain tastes delicious, like its parent, Orange Velvet. Therefore, the name refers to the delicious taste, not the deadly pesticidal warfare used during the Vietnam War of the same name. Agent Orange marijuana was created by the experimenters at TGA Genetics from their terpene-rich Jack the Ripper strain. Therefore, it combines the tastes of orange and lemon.
Appearance and Smell
The Agent Orange plants are relatively tall. Wide green leaves shoot out from a center full of buds, twisty orange pistils, and a blanket of powdery white trichomes rich in THC, cannabinoids, and terpenes. The terpenoid profile is especially important as this is what gives Agent Orange its intense lemon, orange, and sweet taste. This was a particular target of TGA’s genetic breeding specialists. They bred Agent Orange from Jack the Ripper, a powerful Sativa with a powerful dose of lemon taste and fragrance. By manipulating the terpene profile, the specialists at TGA Genetics produced another powerful Sativa, but with even more of a lemony, orange-taste, even sweet and sour like a good cheese. This was special gourmet breeding at its finest. The fragrance is of lemon, orange, sweetness, fruity, spicy, floral, herbal, and even a bit of sour cream. It is absolutely one of the most delicious strains out there.
How to Grow Agent Orange Cannabis Seeds or Cuttings
Growing weed from Agent Orange cannabis seeds and cuttings is of medium difficulty. The plant grows best in an environment which is very sunny and warm, a Mediterranean type of climate. The airflow needs to be maintained, like on a breezy Mediterranean coast. The soil can be enhanced with a fertilizer like Flower Power. The plant can grow very tall but needs to be trained into a wide stance by a cultivator with knowledge of plant training, trimming, staking, and other means of controlling the structure of the plant growth.
Indoors, Agent Orange cannabis plants will take eight to nine weeks to flower and be ready for harvest. The mature bounty of fragrance will be evident. Cultivators can expect to take away 16 ounces per meter squared of fragrant and effective cannabis.
Outdoors, Agent Orange will thrive in a warm, Mediterranean climate and be ready for harvest in the month of October. Cultivators can expect to take away 19 ounces per plant of fragrant herb.
Medicinal Marijuana Review
Agent Orange medical cannabis has THC levels as high as 19 percent. This makes it an acceptable treatment for pain conditions such as migraines, back pain, neck pain, muscle cramps, and muscle spasms. It can be used as needed as a solution to everyday muscle aches.
Agent Orange can be a potent weapon against neuropathic pain as well. Neuropathic pain occurs due to damage to the nerves that travel throughout the body from the spinal cord and links the body to the brain. When these nerves are damaged, they may continually send pain signals to the brain. Marijuana is able to block these signals as well as reduce inflammation. Some conditions of neuropathic pain include fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, and peripheral neuropathy. In each of these conditions, nerves may be damaged by autoimmunity or inflammation. Agent Orange medical marijuana is also useful in reducing the inflammation which is causative. Therefore, Agent Orange medicinal cannabis may not only block the pain signals but also reduce inflammation in the long run, helping to reduce pain over time.
Agent Orange can also be used as a way to focus and invigorate the mind. This can be useful in conditions like ADD and ADHD. The stimulant effect of the Sativa genetics can really make this strain a lifesaver for those with the adult forms of these disorders. It can improve concentration, which may improve productivity at school work for college courses or on home projects.
Agent Orange can be a real mood-brightener. This is because the potent lemon, orange, and sweet terpenoid profile can have the effect of aromatherapy from the first toke. The delicious and inspiring fragrance will instantly lift mood, then the effects of THC, other cannabinoids, and its Sativa genetics will also kick in causing the depressed patient to feel newly inspired and euphoric. THC levels in this strain do not reach too high, thus preventing overstimulation and anxiety.
Agent Orange is especially engineered to combat nausea. It does this with the powerful lemon and citrus fragrance as well as with cannabinoids. A common home remedy for nausea is to suck on a lemon. Agent Orange has inherited from its Jack the Ripper parent, the same strong lemon boost you can get from real lemons, containing some of the same terpenoids as can be found in citrus fruits such as d-limonene. It will deliver a one two punch combination to get rid of nausea, which may be caused by various conditions, including chemotherapy and radiation to treat cancer.
As well as treating nausea, Agent Orange can improve appetite. This can be of great importance to persons with wasting diseases who need to put on weight, such as in cancer, or diseases like HIV / AIDS. With the threat of nausea dispelled, this medicinal cannabis can go to work inducing a strong case of the munchies, allowing you to fill your belly with your favorite foods. While the fragrance itself will make you want to eat, the psychoactive effect will also help you deal with personal mental issues surrounding food, such as happens in those with conditions like anorexia or body dysmorphic disorder.

After smoking this pot a I noticed a great heightened sensory awareness. All my senses sharpened, it's like they were buzzing, you know? But it all came gradually, gently and slowly. Vision changes in a strange way, it is beaming and the angle of view raises like in some video game or a movie. Overall considering a slight inability to realize what's going on around and a complete impossibility to focus on something it feels like a roller coaster. It can even make you feel sick to your stomach. However, it brings such a warm, cozy atmosphere that you won't even remember about paranoia or anxiety. But you're not a relaxed veg, quite the opposite, you're overexcited and really overreact to everything that can happen, so don't do anything foolish. Still it's a unique experience with both bad and good effects, your chest is brimming with emotions and mental state is predominantly euphoric. You will never be bored or cheerless while this weed is taking effect. The catch is that your efficiency and brain function slow down and lots of distance and difficulty concentrating appear. But I have no complaints, 9 out of 10. Maybe I become dumb but the feeling of non-stop shoulder massage is worth it.
I'm so happy because finally I have an excellent remedy for my seasonal depression! Most importantly, it not only takes all your melancholy and apathy away but also cheers you up better than anything ever. That's why I became extremely chatty and felt like having a long and interesting conversation with my girlfriend. By the way she was more like on the euphoric high, with a spacey feeling this strain is known for. I felt so energetic then, so happy and uplifted just like a normal person. Its citrusy and flavorful aroma makes everything even better. After the first hits you can already feel a pleasant sedative numbing effect on your mouth and tongue. Then you start to feel it in your neck and head. Surprisingly I didn't have any problems with my asthma cause this strain is extremely smooth even though I smoked this pot instead of vaping as usual.
It goes without saying that we smoke to get high and the most important thing is the effect. That's why I don't usually describe the smell and taste and shit like that. But this time I'll break my rule because the first thing I felt when I opened the bag was this strong orange citrus scent, very relaxing and even intoxicating. Now I think maybe all these aroma therapies really does work. Should give it a try sometime... Thanks to its marvelous anti-inflammatory and sedative properties I could forget about my extreme joint pain for a couple of hours. After a short break (I didn't smoke for a month) it was the real deal. Your thoughts become deeper and get philosophical until you start to laugh about random things while your body is floating in the river of numbness. I would also like to emphasize that Agent Orange strain is a perfect combination of indica and sativa, especially if you want the best of these two worlds. It's a good stuff, definitely recommend it for the overall development.
